Description

Familiarize yourself with the signs, symptoms, and evaluation process of Adult ADHD--and why testing is important. This neurodivergent affirming and strengths-based presentation will help clinicians catch indicators of Adult ADHD and know when and why to refer for testing. The goal is also to increase a clinician’s familiarity with the Adult ADHD evaluation process, to prevent misdiagnosis or incomplete therapeutic support, and to help clinicians provide appropriate, ADHD-Informed treatment.

Educational Goal: Familiarize clinicians with the signs, symptoms, and evaluation process of Adult ADHD--and why testing is important.

Presenter

Brooke Kaufman (she/her), Psy.D., Psychological Associate, provides individual therapy, couples therapy, and Adult ADHD testing at Atwater Village Therapy. Dr. Kaufman completed a rotation in Adult ADHD and Autism testing at her pre-doctoral internship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, and has continued her training and evaluation of adults looking for clarity regarding attention regulation difficulties. She is particularly passionate about those experiencing disguised symptoms who have gotten missed in previous opportunities to be diagnosed, treated, and provided support.
