Consensual non-monogamy (CNM) is an umbrella term referring to a wide variety of sexual and/or romantic relationship styles, including open relationships, polyamory, swinging, and others. Research shows that up to 5% of adult intimate relationships in the USA are CNM in some form. This talk will briefly highlight key research findings regarding CNM, then discuss three common CNM-related clinical dilemmas that practitioners may face, including different pathways for addressing them. Time will be reserved for questions and discussion, and resources for further learning will be provided.
