I have supported families and individuals in various mental health roles for over 20 years, utilizing trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care. I hold dual degrees as an AMFT and APCC, with an emphasis on Medical Family Therapy and Spirituality.
I treat depression/anxiety, trauma, and life transitions stressors. I provide a holistic assessment to collaborate on a goal and provide space to build trust. Clients reported increased self-awareness and improved relationships. Parents reported improved child-parent communication and child-peer relationships.
I work from a CBT, attachment, family systems, and experiential perspectives. I draw from life experience of supporting those through volunteer or work capacities related to addiction, severe mental health disorders, chronic illness, stagnated life transitions, grief, caregiving, disabilities, including invisible disabilities, career counseling, school counseling, and trauma. I have culturally competent relationships with people of diverse race and ethnicities, sexual and gender identifications, religions, and socio-economic status. With children I utilize art and play interventions to help children and adolescents to express their thoughts and emotions and teach parenting skills. I instill a team approach to build family connection and resiliency. I have experience in case management and navigating government and community resources.
