"Self Care Workshop for Interns & Trainees"


Do you ever feel like this? As new clinicians, the work we do can sometimes be extremely stressful! Please join us for this informative and interactive workshop and network with peers who may be having the same experience.

Introduction to Compassion Fatigue

Participants will learn strategies to:
  • Identify warning signs of burn out
  • Become aware and manage personal triggers in session
  • Develop self care skills to use before, during and after sessions
  • Learn how to set appropriate boundaries
  • Connect Mind, Body and Spirit
  • Gain support and understanding about yourself as a therapist
Attendees will receive 2 hours training

WORKSHOP PRESENTER:
Irene began her training in the field of psychology in 2006 working as a behavioral therapist at The Center for Autism and Related Disorders. She earned her master's degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she is also currently pursuing her Psy.D. 

Irene is passionate about the self care for clinicians and currently offers several support groups for MFT interns in her private practice in Beverly Hills.  www.mftirene.com

Dain is a MFT intern dedicated to overall wellness and ways for individuals, couples and families to manage balance in their lives.  Dain is currently a Psy.D candidate at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Dain's experience working with the indigent population, individuals with severe and chronic mental illness and at-risk-youth has led to his current program to assist other clinicians fight compassion fatigue and burnout in the field, known as Progress Not Perfection.
